Reflection: My first lesson of Art, Design, Media and Technology (ADMT) Lesson 1

What ADMT means to me is using technology or media, we could connect globally and share with the world your art piece or design. The attitude that a ADMT student should have is paying attention and listen to what the ADMT teacher is saying although the topic that the teacher is discussing may not always be interesting or fun-filled as students of ADMT should know that currently, only SST is having the subject ADMT and all students of ADMT should appreciate the lesson. What I aspire as a ADMT student is that one day, I would sketch up a design that might be used commercially or maybe a device that can help the needy and the elderly. I think I can achieve my aspiration by firstly, listening attentively in class and not dozing off. Secondly, i need to work hard and maybe I would achieve my aspiration one day.

(The Meaning)

At the left hand corner of the picture, you can see a house on fire as the hot Sun set it on fire. In my opinion, a house that lacks design (structural safety) and technology (resistance to heat) would easily go on fire.

Beside the house, you can see a house that is being blown down by the wind. In my opinion, a house that lacks design (structural safety) and technology (resistance to wind) would be blown down by the wind easily.

In the middle of the picture, you can see a crowd that is standing on a pedestrian pavement chatting with each other. They are exchanging information with each other about current happenings by talking as the most common way of communicating without technology and media would be talking. So if there was technology, like internet or a handphone, or if there was media, like newspaper or the news, people would be updated about current happenings easier and do not need to rely mostly on talking to exchange information. So, all the peoples in this picture are think that if there was technology, life would be a lot more easier and fun.

The overall of this picture looks old and low quality (e.g. The straw house and the low quality pavement) to depict the lack of Art, Design, Media and Technology
